PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Peninsula Building 2B is one of two all-affordable residential buildings planned for Phase 2 on the site of the former Spofford Juvenile Detention Center in Hunts Point. Residents will enjoy spacious apartments with stainless steel appliances and stone countertops.
The design employs many strategies to provide residents with healthy living spaces. Among these are the use of low VOC materials, an individual ventilation system for each apartment, heating and cooling units that can be controlled in each room, and generous windows providing views as well as lots of daylight. The 19-story, all-affordable apartment building will also house a community facility space and parking garage that serves the entire Peninsula development.
