PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Cooper Park 1 is the conversion of the long-abandoned nurses' residence of the former Greenpoint Hospital campus in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn into a 200-bed supportive shelter.
The first of four buildings on the site, work includes interior demolition, abatement, renovation and reconfiguration of the existing floor plans, and construction of a new one-story addition within the existing courtyard to provide space for resident support services.
The building systems, landscape, site, and finishes will be new, except for some of the original interior columns, trim, and mantels which are either being restored or replicated to preserve some of the original interiors.
